Turn it one way, and you're standing on a flower-draped terrace above the ancient harbor of Halicarnassus — the Mausoleum rising golden against a burning sunset sky, ships crowding the water below, a city alive at the height of its glory. Turn it the other way, and the world goes quiet. You're inside now — torchlight flickering across marble walls, gold reliefs catching the glow, a shaft of light falling across the sarcophagus of Mausolus himself. At the same time, robed figures stand in silence around him.
Two perspectives. One wonder. The outside world that saw it and was changed by it. The inside world that held its secret.
